Earwax removal

Earwax removal

Modern, painless suction by trained specialists under ENT supervision. Done in 20–30 minutes.

Information

Are you suffering from a blocked ear, ear pain, or pressure on your ear from too much earwax? At Audinc you can easily book an appointment online for professional earwax removal at a location near you.

Why have ear wax removed?
Having ear wax professionally removed prevents complications like infections, hearing loss, and discomfort. Our specialists ensure a safe and pain-free procedure.
Why not remove earwax yourself?
Using cotton swabs or other objects can push wax deeper, damage the eardrum, or cause infections. Professional removal is the only safe method to thoroughly clean the ear canal.
Prepare for your appointment: apply olive oil
Starting 3 days before your appointment, put a few drops of olive oil into the ear canal 2–3 times a day. You can use a dropper bottle or oil spray from the pharmacy, or simply a teaspoon: tilt your head and let a few drops run from the spoon into your ear. This softens the earwax, making the suction removal quicker and more comfortable. Do you have ear pain, ear tubes (grommets) or a (suspected) perforated eardrum? Do not apply drops — contact us first.

Earwax removal is currently not covered by Dutch health insurance. It does count as a medical expense, so depending on the threshold you may be able to deduct it in your income tax return.

Yes. Audinc uses the same modern, safe suction technique as ENT doctors. We work with: • A medical suction technique. • A 3D-microscope. • A small curette when needed. • The treatment is completely painless and low-risk.

A specialist first examines your ear canal with an otoscope. The earwax is then carefully removed with a medical suction device. The treatment takes 20–30 minutes on average.

No, the treatment is almost always painless. Some people feel a slight vibration from the suction device, which is completely normal.

You pay a €25 examination fee for the inspection of your ears, settled online when you book (iDEAL, credit card or Apple Pay). Suction removal then costs €27.50 per ear, paid on site. If both ears are treated, the total comes to €80. If no earwax is found, you only pay the examination fee. Free cancellation or rescheduling up to 24 hours before your appointment.

The €25 examination fee is paid online when you book your appointment, by iDEAL, credit card or Apple Pay. The suction removal (€27.50 per ear) is paid on site after the treatment — in cash or by card.

Yes, we recommend it. Starting 3 days before your appointment, put a few drops of olive oil into your ear canal 2–3 times a day. The oil softens the earwax, making the removal quicker and more comfortable. You can use a dropper bottle or oil spray from the pharmacy, or simply a teaspoon: tilt your head and let a few drops run from the spoon into your ear. Please note: do not apply drops if you have ear pain, ear tubes (grommets) or a (suspected) perforated eardrum. Contact us first in that case.

Our specialists assess the situation first. If treatment is not safe, you will be referred to an ENT doctor.

Immediately. You walk out after the treatment with clearer hearing and a fresh feeling.

You simply book online through the Audinc website and pay the €25 examination fee right away (iDEAL, credit card or Apple Pay). Your appointment is then confirmed immediately and you receive a confirmation by e-mail. During the phased rollout you automatically see which locations are available.
