We sometimes get the question whether one should have clean ears before a fitting can take place.

In principle this is not necessary. We always check your ears before we start measuring your ears. In case of excess wax we will refer you to your doctor.

However, if you want to be sure that we can perform a fitting without any problems, it is wise to visit your doctor beforehand. Nowadays it is also possible to have your ears cleaned by Audinc, you can read more about that here.

However, we advise against trying to clean your ears yourself. You can read more about this in this blog.
