With an easy-to-use three-position push-button volume control, the DX1 allows you to have crystal-clear communications while amplifying ambient sounds, with just the push of a button.

The DX3 & DX5 feature several electronic modes that provide the user with the best possible experience in all types of shooting activities. This is achieved with a Digital Signal Processor (DSP), where each mode is optimized for the chosen activity and the associated ambient noise.

Features a range of digitally optimized modes and a mute function for different shooting disciplines.

The DX 3 & 5 lets you know by voice (English) which mode you are using and keeps you informed when you switch between modes, so you are always aware of the selected mode. It also alerts you when you reach the minimum or maximum volume level. In addition, you hear beeps as you switch through the intermediate levels. Voice feedback is also given when the battery is low or critically low.

The DX 3 & 5 have a special on/off button that also serves as a mute function, for those crucial moments when concentration is essential. The mute function is ideal for competition shooters; some prefer complete silence to focus on their setup and preparation before calling a target

The DX3 and DX5 remember your last set volume level and mode - even when the unit is turned off or the battery is removed.

Hunting mode is optimized for hunters. After a shot, the device responds by lowering the sound level, keeping the shooter protected from damaging noise levels. Then the sound level immediately returns to normal, allowing the user to continue to hear approaching game.

Clay pigeon mode is optimized for clay pigeon shooters, where guns are usually fired at a faster rate and other shooters nearby are also shooting. This exposes the user to more prolonged high noise levels.

Long range mode is optimized for users shooting with larger caliber weapons or in indoor environments. Ambient awareness is maintained, but the reduced output levels can make conversations difficult at close range. Double protection is still recommended in these types of environments.

Wireless communication mode is optimized for general shooting, maintaining ambient awareness and the added feature of wireless audio input via the included neckloop or full two-way communication with the optional SRC harness.

Hunting mode is optimized for hunters and stalkers. This mode reduces the sound of footsteps on dry forest floor and grass, allowing you to focus on the sounds that matter. A wind noise reduction algorithm for one microphone is also activated in this mode.

When jmodules are away for maintenance or the battery is dead, you can switch to passive modules.

As part of the ongoing CENS product development and improvement program, we have an advanced hydrophobic nanocoating system called WaterShield.

The WaterShield biocompatible coating is a highly durable "Teflon-like" amorphous carbon polymer coating that protects CENS devices from accidental exposure to liquids.

Tests have shown that a hydrophobic coating can reduce water infiltration 3 to 5 times compared to an uninsulated product when exposed to simulated rain-chamber conditions.

The neckloop is included with the CENS ProFlex DX5. This neckloop is placed over the head (preferably under outer clothing) and plugged into a 3.5mm headset jack. This will transmit audio to the CENS ProFlex DX5 when wireless communication mode is active.

The CENS Digital electronic hearing protection runs on a size-13 zinc-air battery and is known for its exceptionally long service life. In normal use, one battery lasts several hundred hours (up to approximately 400 hours), making frequent replacement hardly necessary.

After removing the protective tab, the battery remains active for up to about 45 days on average, depending on use and environmental conditions. This makes the CENS Digital particularly reliable for intensive use during hunting, shooting sports and professional work where optimal hearing protection is essential.
