The new Audinc Impulse filter is specially engineered to reduce sudden noise peaks and pass on the softer sound to the inner ear. As a result, the wearer is protected when it matters, yet can still hear optimally the rest of the time. The filter provides a constant sound reduction of around 17 dB, rising to a maximum of 34 dB when triggered by sudden loud noises. The small size of the Impulse filters makes them discreet and comfortable to wear, and they fit easily under communication headsets or earmuffs where double protection is required. Developed for military use, the Impulse filter protects hearing against impulsive noises such as those from nail guns, drop hammers and rivet guns. Designed to let air enter the ear, this unique filter technology preserves the spatial awareness and sound direction needed while working on a construction site. Unlike competing products, this ventilation minimises the occlusion effect and reduces irritation in the ear canal, maximising wearing comfort and limiting ear inflammation and infection. The Impulse filter has undergone full environmental testing for humidity, hot and cold temperatures, 12-hour comfort and sandstorms. Fully washable with water and standard detergents, the Impulse is suited to all outdoor and indoor conditions. The Impulse ANSI IPIL certified impulse protection reaches a maximum of 33.1 dB. There is also an Audinc Impulse custom-moulded earplug Click variant of the filter available. In this mode the filter continuously attenuates at SNR -28 dB. In the open position it retains the properties of the Impulse filter.

Impulse 9 (beige): the same peak attenuation (IPIL) on shots as the standard Impulse filter, but a lower constant attenuation. Please note: that attenuation is below the threshold for CE certification (EN 352-2), and Impulse 9 cannot be combined with the Click upgrade.

Peak attenuation for impulse noise (ANSI S12.42): the louder the bang, the more the filter attenuates.

You can take out loss protection at your fitting for € 13. You are then insured against loss for one year from the fitting date. If you lose your earplugs, you pay € 25 excess for a replacement set.
