The new Audinc Impulse filter is purpose-built to soften sudden noise peaks before they reach the inner ear. It shields the wearer exactly when protection is needed, while leaving normal hearing intact the rest of the time. The filter delivers a constant sound reduction of around 17 dB, rising to a maximum of 34 dB when triggered by a sudden loud noise. Because the Impulse filters are so compact, they stay discreet and comfortable, and they fit easily under communication headsets or earmuffs where double protection is required. Developed for military use, the Impulse filter guards hearing against gunfire, artillery blasts and the impulsive noise of nail guns, drop hammers and rivets. Designed to let air enter the ear, this unique filter technology preserves the spatial awareness and sense of direction essential in hunting and combat situations. Unlike competing products, this ventilation minimises the occlusion effect and reduces irritation in the ear canal, maximising wearing comfort while limiting ear inflammation and infection. The Impulse filter has passed full environmental testing for humidity, hot and cold temperatures, 12-hour comfort and sandstorms. Fully washable with water and standard detergents, the Impulse is suited to all outdoor and indoor conditions. The Impulse offers ANSI IPIL-certified impulse protection of up to 33.1 dB. A custom Audinc Impulse Click variant of the filter is also available. In this mode the filter provides continuous SNR -28 dB attenuation. In the open position it retains the characteristics of the Impulse filter.

With a simple push you can switch the standard filter to the Ludicrous filter, which offers an SNR of -28 dB for maximum sound reduction. Attenuation values in decibels (dB).

Impulse 9 (beige): the same peak attenuation (IPIL) on shots as the standard Impulse filter, but a lower constant attenuation. Please note: that attenuation is below the threshold for CE certification (EN 352-2), and Impulse 9 cannot be combined with the Click upgrade.

Peak attenuation for impulse noise (ANSI S12.42): the louder the bang, the more the filter attenuates.

You can take out loss protection at your fitting for € 13. You are then insured against loss for one year from the fitting date. If you lose your earplugs, you pay € 35 excess for a replacement set.
