Take the next step for your hearing
December is here again, and that means that alongside the holiday season, 2020 is no longer all that far away. But before we get there, there’s still New Year’s Eve to enjoy, which usually comes with plenty of fireworks. It all looks wonderful, but it isn’t exactly good for your ears. Fortunately, you can prevent any damage with earplugs for fireworks.
There are plenty of situations in which you run the risk of hearing damage, but being nearby when fireworks are set off may well top the list. You can reduce the risk somewhat by keeping your distance, but sometimes certain things go off louder than expected. Especially if you’re the one responsible for lighting the fireworks, it can be hard to dodge the loud bangs effectively. That’s why we wholeheartedly recommend some form of hearing protection.
Earplugs for fireworks
You could of course put on ear muffs, although they look a little silly. An alternative is to wear earplugs. These are barely noticeable yet still provide the protection you need. If you go for the custom-made earplugs option, you can even take part in conversations without any trouble. Using earplugs for fireworks might sound a bit over the top, but it’s a very low-threshold way to prevent ear pain and hearing damage on New Year’s Eve. On top of that, you can use the earplugs in other situations too, such as at the pub or while working with machinery.
While we’d be more than happy to provide you with custom-made hearing protection, buying earplugs for just a single evening might be a touch excessive. That’s why universal earplugs (not custom-made) are perfectly sufficient in this case. It also helps to stay indoors, though that’s of course a lot less fun 😉
